Invitation to Free Growing Together School Gardening Workshops Spring/Summer 2011

The RHS Campaign for School Gardening works to develop practical horticultural skills in teachers and other school staff, assist the development of school gardens and embed the rewarding practical activities that children enjoy so much into the curriculum, whilst encouraging healthy eating and a love of the green environment.

In conjunction with Sheffield Lets Change4Life, we are running two seasonal school gardening workshops in 2011. We are inviting all schools in Sheffield to send a member of staff to these workshops. This training is free and will include practical advice from Louise Cox, an experienced horticulturist and school gardening trainer, to assist you to develop gardening in your school.

These days will run from 9.15am to approximately 3pm and will incorporate a mix of practical gardening techniques, outside and inside sessions.
