The Sheffield Healthy School Programme is a partnership programme between health and education, providing support to schools in becoming a healthier, safer and more enjoyable place for both pupils and staff to learn and work.
A healthy school promotes the health and well-being of its pupils and staff through a well-planned, taught curriculum in a physical and emotional environment that promotes learning and healthy lifestyle choices.
The Flower 125 Health Programme contributes to all 4 of the Healthy Schools themes:-
- Personal, social and health education including sex and relationship and drug education (including alcohol, tobacco and volatile substance misuse)
- Healthy Eating
- Physical Activity
- Emotional Health and Well-being
If you are delivering the 125 Programme you should make contact with the Healthy Schools Coordinator in your school. Information about running the programme in your school should be recorded on the Healthy Schools on-line audit. The Flower 125 Health Programme has been cross-referenced with the Healthy Schools audit to help you to do this. Click here to go to this document.
