Explanation and Use of the Model

The model is what makes this programme so special. The four basic principles of the model and icon system that are adopted and applied are:
- Use of icons and small tangible rewards
- Praise and positive recognition
- Ignoring
- Use of appropriate interventions
Key Messages:
- To create an atmosphere where learning can take place
- To reduce or eradicate problematic behaviours that produce barriers to learning
- To use icons which give positive reward and recognition for good behaviour.
