First Aid, First-Hand

As part of understanding physical development, health and wellbeing in the new primary curriculum it is stated that “children should know about some basic aspects of first aid”. It is also expected that this will be included at a higher level on the secondary curriculum.

In response and advance of this we would like to draw your attention to the resources that are produced by the Red Cross many of which are free.

The Healthy Schools Team has purchased a Life Live It CD rom of interactive first aid lessons for every secondary school in Sheffield to enable First Aid to be included in the curriculum as easily as possible.  These will be sent directly to schools shortly.
